The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently browsing the Fernie two Community Hall in Mpuluzi to render providers on the community.
SASSA will probably be rendering services which include new social grant applications, change of payment method, client care enquiries, and also the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In an announcement, the agency reported it is alarmed regarding the high quantity of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The aim in the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to a significant quantity of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“This can be mainly because of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no absolutely functional office dedicated to service the area on a regular basis. The service level designed for intervention activities a substantial inflow of potential beneficiaries, which makes it hard for the office to attend to all people who take a look at a service point.
“In this sassa status reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise additional resources to enable the sassa servicing of all customers and increase access to Social Assistance companies,” the agency said.
